spacer What is DiSC?

Behavioral research suggests that the most effective people are those who understand both their strengths and weaknesses, so they develop strategies to meet the demands of their environment.

DiSC provides a universal language that describes what can be observed in human behavior. It puts a language to how we act and what our behaviors are, without attaching value judgments. This results in improved communication, understanding, appreciation and enhanced relationships.

DiSC does not measure intelligence, a person’s values, skills or competencies, education or training. It offers a neutral language in which to discuss a person’s behavioral style; in other words, the way we behave.

Four dimensions are measured in the DiSC PPSS (Personalized Profile and Success Strategies). They are:

  1. Dominance (D): How you respond to problems and challenges.
  2. Influence (i): How you influence others to your point of view.
  3. Steadiness (S): How you respond to the pace of the environment and handle change.
  4. Conscientiousness (C): How you respond to rules and procedures set by others.

A DiSC report can be obtained by completing a 24-question assessment which we will provide online. The instrument takes no more than 10 minutes to complete in one uninterrupted sitting. We will then spend 2-3 hours reviewing the report with the client.
